Gauge Cluster Wiring Method
Removing
wires from the harnesses
|
When you have taken out the 3
plugs from the back of the Gauge cluster, the wires will have to be re-arranged to the new specs detailed in my word file. To save you the sloppy mess of cutting and splicing the wires, I found an awesome way that involves no cutting, solder, or tape.

| 1. Pull open the tabs on either
side of the black harness: |

| 2. Taking a tiny screw
driver, you will find a small plastic hook that holds the pin in from the
center. |
|
> It's a tough one to find, but once you find it you'll be able to breeze through the rest.
|
| 3. When it's unhooked, the pin
will slide right out. Do this same procedure for all
the wires and then set the plastic harnesses aside (no two are alike...make sure
that when you go to the new cluster, you test fit the empty harness to the right
socket) |
|

|
4. Once they're all out, you can
slide the pins into their new location. |
|
> As you slide it in, the pin will snap into place and be completely secure.

|
5. Lastly, don't forget to snap
the tab back on and you're done. |
